Geocaching is a treasure hunt, for which you must be equipped with a GPS (smartphone or hiking GPS) and be registered on the Geocaching.com website (it's free). “Treasures” are boxes of various sizes, hidden by other geocachers at specific coordinates that you must reach.
Geocaching allows you to compose your adventure for the moment, the day or the week, to hike in the mountains or in the countryside, to discover towns, monuments, unsuspected landscapes... sometimes even just a stone's throw from home.
Go hiking and discover little hidden boxes along our trails that will allow you to learn more about the essential animals of the Pyrenees! Remember to leave with a small sheet of paper and a pencil to leave a little note in the cache...
To participate in their search, all you have to do is download the Geocaching application before going for a walk, then find their hiding place on the map.
Thus, you will have the possibility of coming across QR codes on certain caches and being able to scan them to access a quiz which will teach you more about the animals of the Pyrenees.
