Geocaching is a treasure hunt for which you need a GPS device (smartphone or handheld GPS) and to be registered on the Geocaching.com website (it's free). The "treasures" are containers of varying sizes, hidden by other geocachers at specific coordinates that you must reach.
Geocaching allows you to create your own adventure for the moment, the day or the week, to hike in the mountains or the countryside, to discover cities, monuments, unexpected landscapes... sometimes even close to home.
Go hiking and discover hidden boxes along our trails that will teach you more about the iconic animals of the Pyrenees! Remember to bring a small piece of paper and a pencil to leave a message in the cache...
To participate in their search, simply download the Geocaching app before going for a walk, then find their hiding place on the map.
Thus, you will have the opportunity to come across QR codes on some caches and to scan them to access a quiz that will teach you more about the animals of the Pyrenees.
