Geocaching is a treasure hunt, for which you must be equipped with a GPS (smartphone or hiking GPS) and be registered on the Geocaching.com website (it's free). The "treasures" are boxes of various sizes, hidden by other geocachers at specific coordinates that you must reach.
Geocaching allows you to create your own adventure of the moment, day or week, to hike in the mountains or in the countryside, to discover cities, monuments, unexpected landscapes... sometimes even just a stone's throw from your home.
Go hiking and discover hidden treasure chests along our trails that will help you learn more about the must-see animals of the Pyrenees! Remember to bring a small piece of paper and a pencil to leave a note in the cache...
To participate in their search, simply download the Geocaching app before setting off on your trip, then find their hiding place on the map.
You will therefore have the opportunity to come across QR codes on certain caches and scan them to access a quiz that will teach you more about the animals of the Pyrenees.
